This afternoon, I have been at the terrace doing some painting, before I went, I pegged out a line full of washing because the sun was shining beautifully. I had a busy few hours and made some good progress.

Whilst I was there, a friend of my hubbie called to fit a couple of new window panes, so that is another job out of the way. At about 4.30pm, I decided it was time to go home, my tummy was rumbling, and I had a chinese takeaway (from the supermarket) waiting to be heated and eaten.

At the very moment that I opened the door to leave, the heavens opened to release a deluge of rain, somewhat reminiscent of the rains of last summer that almost flooded my home. The car was parked about 25yards from the door, but I didn't fancy my chances of getting to it without being wet through to the underwear, so I shut the door, and found a bit more work to do.

Consequently, by the time I did get home I was starving (well, not literally) but I was feeling very hungry. So quick smart, I shoved the meal in the microwave and hey presto! in four minutes, it was still stone cold; this confused me somewhat, and I assumed that I hadn't set it off properly, hence, I reset the power button and input four minutes, go! after four minutes, I repeated this procedure, then after a further four minutes I concluded that the microwave isn't working, my meal was then transferred to the oven where it will take 25minutes to cook.

The washing is still on the line dripping wet, what's that saying? for every action there is a reaction, well I think that I had my share of ups and downs today.
