Well, this week has seen my daughter finally moving in to the terrace. As is normal with house renovations, there is still the odd job or two to do before it can be considered to be completed, but it is habitable, and looking good.

There have been many hiccups and annoyances along the way, but in spite of all these frustrations, I am pleased to report that we have achieved our goal, the former owners would not recognise the place, as it has been truly transformed.

I don't know where I found the energy to be so involved with this task, but I suppose it was the mother instinct which kept me going, this was something that needed to be done for my child, and I was determined to see it come together. The rest is up to her now, she has to turn it from a house into a home. I wish her joy and happiness within those walls.

It is fortunate that the work at the house is almost done, because at the moment, I am of no use to myself or anyone, a long standing back problem has recurred, and I am currently in pain and unable to get about very well.

Maybe the old body is trying to tell me that I've been overdoing things, and not to take it for granted when it is in reasonable working order! So it seems that I will be taking a rest for a week or two, whether I like it or not.
