As I haven't had anything of interest to write about for the last day or two (do I ever?) I've been spending my computer time reading and commenting, catching up with one or two people on my friends list.

I enjoyed looking at some excellent photos in photography blog. People seem to get great results with their digital cameras. Some of the contributors have specialised equipment, but many are just using fairly basic cameras. It is a joy to see the range of things that are photographed; birds and flowers are popular, and the weather provides endless photo opportunities.

My hubby bought me a camera for my 50th birthday, it wasn't cheap, and I'm sure that I should be able to take close ups, but I don't seem to do very well with it. The fault probably lies with me rather than the camera, as I am a bit of a technophobe, and can't really be bothered to study the instruction book (it is a BOOK) so I suppose I'll just keep doing what I can with it for now.
